Drove a 2015 4X4 2.7L EB Extended Cab Lariat today and was very impressed! I haven't driven any of the other engines but compared to my dad's 2010 5.3L V8 Silverado it was no contest. Lethargic response seems to continue as a GM criticism though...

I've been running around town in sport mode lately. Feeling feisty and have been squealing the tires for fun a little bit and I'm getting 12.8l/100km. That's what I got on the highway in my old Eco.

My commute is 99% highway. Right off the 403 in Hamilton to the hospital in St. Catharines. The avg L/100km was 10.7/100km. Now its down to 9.8. At that rate I am expecting to get well over 1200KM at tank. My escape 4cyl was getting 8.5L/100km.

Its actually mind boggling what the truck is doing gas mileage wise.

I have to agree with the other posters about the efficiency of the ecoboost 2.7. My XLT Screw 4x4 just turned over 2000km and I can see its mpg getting better every trip. Last night drove to the cottage on a 160 KM trip and was shocked to see 8.9 liters per 100km consumed. Yes it was only at 96kmh but still that's almost 26.5 US mpg. Into a slight headwind with AC on!
