Default 2.7 ecoboost synthetic or conventional oil

Hey guys, I'm coming up on my first oil change for my truck and and just wondering if I should use synthetic or conventional oil? And since everyone loves pictures.

They use a synthetic-blend aka (semi-synthetic), use that at the very least.
Another option would be to upgrade to full synthetic for a few more bucks.

Nice truck!

Defiantly full synthetic did my first OC at 2K. IMO Mobile 1 or the new Pennzoil from natural gas. Synthetic is so much better for these motors.

Nice truck!

Some youtube Ford Tech claims the pennzoil ultra platinum is the best oil for the ecoboost's, ironically that is my oil of choice anyway so i stuck with it.

I have been running synthetic oils, usually M1, in my cars and trucks for the past 18 years. Never an engine failure but I do change oil/filter every 3-4k miles.

I put pennzoil ultra platinum in my 2.7 Ecoboost on its first oil change. I swear the MPG went up a wee bit... Another reason why pure synthetic oil is great for the 2.7 is the potential wear the auto start/stop will put on the turbo bearings. I know this engine has water cooling that runs after the truck is stopped but for a small additional price it make sense to run oil that doesn't cook when the engine is stopped.

Anyone know what the dealerships are using and what they are charging? I'm due for an OC at 3500 miles and looking to change oil filter as well.

My girlfriends brother works at a dealer ship here in Canada and be says all they use is the bulk conventional oil even tho the manual say motorcraft super premium which I believe is a synthetic, and your looking at about $70 plus tax here for an oilchange
