2.7 Ecoboost Regrets?
I'm looking to buy a 2016 XLT Screw 4x4 with 2.7 eco. I've test driven the 2.7 and it feels great, really like the power. It will mostly be a commuter, towing a 4,000 lb boat every weekend in the summer, but only about 40 mile round trip. Might someday get a camper, but at most 6,000 loaded. Any of you guys that have a similar truck have any regrets? Wish you had got the 5.0? Highway speed limits here are 80, so not expecting great mpg, but hopefully a little better than the 5.0.
Thanks

I would imagine the only downside is the exhaust note, other than that people seem to be happy with the 2.7. I am sure you will love it.

No regrets here neither.
I tow a 6500lbs TT and I love the engine. Really strong at 3000rpm, and quiet. I had an 2011 Infiniti QX56 truck with the 400hp 5.6 before and I don't feel like I lost a lot of towing power.
Really like the 2.7 so far.

I don't tow, but just traded my '14 Screw 3.5 for a '16 Screw 2.7. No regrets, only 600 miles on it though. While I did like the 3.5 exhaust note better, you can still hear the turbo whistle on the 2.7.

The exhaust note is kinda meh but it isn't bad. The turbo whistle is really cool. I love my 2.7 truck.

No regrets with my 2.7. Great for my daily driving duties (5 days a week) and great for towing my 4000-4500lb trailer out camping during summer weekends. Fuel economy in the city isn't that bad at all (I don't beat on it), which is why I opted for the 2.7 in the first place.

Absolutely no regrets here either. Good power, quiet, getting over 22mpg and the truck itself has been good as well. I have almost 7,000 miles so far. The family prefers to take my truck on outings rather than the wife's minivan.

The lil' 2.7 puts a smile on my face every day. If you need/want to drive aggressively it has the pickup to do it or if you want to nurse it you will see mileage into the low 20's. Not bad for a crew cab 4x4.
*My truck is 13 months old with 15k miles.
