Just took a 1800 mile round trip from home in Tacoma, Washington up to BC and back. Truck hit 1000 miles just short of the border. On board computer was reporting 18mpg while limited to 70mph on 1-5. As I progressed into BC and ramped speed up to 75-80 I also started getting into the hills/mountains. On board MPG crept down to 16. My 1st hand calculation agreed with the 16mpg.

Return trip was similar. Could only check one tank by hand and got 17.5 - again with a lot of 75-80 mph. Did not use sport mode. love the range the 36g tank gives me. Truck has BFG KO2's on it.

Which engine? Our new XLT 4x4 screw with 3.5 Ecoboost shows 19.9 - 20.5 on computer, for short haul, town-qnd-back (20 miles on interstate)

I completed an 1700 mile round trip to California and back recently. I got 18 to California, highway speeds of 65 to 75 with an empty truck. On the return I was towing a 5000lb boat and barely managed 12 mpg at highway towing speeds, 55 to 65 mph. Not as impressive as I had hoped. The empty truck was better than my old 5.0l, but the towing truck was worse. SCrew 4x4 short bed with 3.5l.
