Agreed. I'm going to pull the trigger on the '14. Hopefully will be putting pics up tonight.

Same decision I made a few weeks ago. Really happy with my '14 Lariat 4x4 5.0.
I am not willing to be a beta tester on my dime.

Where are these hugediscounts hiding? I talked to a couple local dealers. The best I was able to get was 8k off.
I have a 13 fx4 with 63k miles. Thinking about trading in if these discounts really do exist.

I saw them 2 weeks ago when I used the Canadian Ford web site and went to the Build&Price section. 8-12K discount off MSRP. It depends upon the model and options I guess.

I was at my Canadian dealer yesterday getting my oil change done. Dealers are giving approx. $12,000 - $14,000 off 2014 trucks. They have had a record August for sales so far and ordered an additional 50 2014 trucks at my dealer because sales have been strong.

The big incentives are bringing in buyers and people aren't holding off to get the new design at higher prices.

Anyone gotten any deals on a '14 STX? Looking for a 4x4 SuperCab, but haven't had much luck. Slim picking around here it seems which worries me. I'm pretty picky so I don't really want to wait and be stuck with a '15... With the lack of trims and all the packages I'd have to get really specific and that would probably mean $$$. I don't like how they eliminated the majority of the trims and just made them all packages - now there's 5 million packages and options.

I HATE chrome so the STX is an easy option for me. Just need to find the right price (quickly). I feel lilke it's gunna be different this year - it wouldn't surprise me to see '14 flying off the lots, but at the same time, the dealers around here know they're in high demand and won't discount as much as they have in previous years around this time. Why must you put me in this position, Ford!?

Being 4,000 miles from running out of drivetrain warranty I start to get nervous and get the itch for new as I do every 3-4 years. The timing of this one is killing me with the decision of a '14 now versus '15 in 6 months. I will say one thing, having a loaded FX4 my market is somewhere between the Lariat 502a and the Platinum. I haven't gotten down to tacks with the dealer but the invoice prices aren't ridiculously different between the '14 and '15 from my perspective. $2k-$4k. And there is some nice tech coming that I'm already familiar with as its already in our '13 Taurus. Granted, not needed, but nice to have:

Ambient lighting
BLIS (Blind Spot Information System)
Intelligent Access with Push-button Start
Heated steering wheel
Rain sensing wipers
Auto-dimming high-beams

Additional features that leave me considering the value of a '15:

8" instrument cluster screen
Quad Beam LED headlights and LED taillamps
LED box lighting
Power tailgate lock
Remote tailgate release

Second row heated seats
400w 110v outlet
5 years Sirius Travel Link
Body color flares ("wheel lip moldings")
360 degree camera is intriguing for me too

As for the aluminum body panels, for me, meh.... I spend most of my time on the inside of the truck anyway.

Heated Steering wheel seems to be only available in the King Ranch and the Platinum. Same thing with the heated rear seats.
The incentives will be way better on the '14 for awhile. In time the '15 will come down to normal but us early adopters will be paying premium. Unfortunately.

Had a heated wheel in my maxima about a decade ago. Old technology but my cold hands don't care. Best option of everything outlined a few posts above. The rest, meh. Discounts won't be this good for years unless we hit a deep recession again or until next model change in 6-7 years.

Both are included in the Lariat 502A package - part of the $6K upgrade.
