I didnt wait for 15, its all new. I do not sure if insurance is going up or if shop can repair body if car gets damaged. Sure everything looks and sounds better but i feel its better for me wait 2~3 more years and see.

I had all intentions to wait for the '15s but couldn't hold out any longer as my '07 FX2 Sport with 101k started to show signs that I was about to be in for a new transmission very soon, along with 4 new tires and an all around brake job.
The truck is going to make 7 "trouble free" yrs on the 29th of this month. It's going to be tough but it's time that we finally part ways.
Not to get too personal, but what are you looking at price wise for the FX4? I looked at '14 FX2's last weekend in Mandeville and they were still in the low $40ks with the rebates applied. I should be able to find a '14 FX2 crew in the low $30ks. If not then I'll go with a Ram Sport Crew. I drove one and it was awesome. It was fully loaded with push to start for $33k after rebates.

I'm getting it for a lil over $8k off sticker after rebates etc.
Not sure if it helped me or not but my father knows the sales manager from years ago when he worked for another dealership.
Supposably the truck is being sold at invoice price plus I get the rebates....not sure how much truth there is to the invoice price.

This is a typical pricing. Very close to XPLAN, however sometime you do not even need that to get @invoice.

EDIT you can price out on edmunds and it will give you invoice.

The most expedient route to determining invoice price is to simply ask the dealer show you the invoice on a vehicle...as a premium, the invoice will also state the X-plan (and other plan) price. If the dealer refuses, he doesn't want the transaction to be transparent...that may occur if the dealer has no local competition for you to shop.

Invoice prices are no secret, they are all over the internet. But, truly comprehending a deal would require the buyer to understand some other pricing components such as the dealer's holdback (3% of MSRP) and other hidden dealer profits, e.g. manufacturer-to-dealer cash, rebates, incentives, etc.

Last month I purchased a 2014' FX4 5.0L, fully loaded. Got a great deal on it. Didn't feel like waiting longer to get the 15'. Their going to be a lot pricier for a while. Figured I'd wait a few more years on a possible upgrade.

I did the exact same thing, I was all for the '15 until I noticed the price difference on the '14s! I saved 13k on my '14 fx4 fully loaded! I can wait for the new ones now.

I had to do the same thing. Couldnt wait for the 15 cause my 06 Ranger Fx4 was not going to let me wait. That was one sweet truck and I hated to get rid of it. I didnt get nowhere near what I think it was worth in trade in. But knowing it had a problem I had to let it go and make the deal. I got sterling gray '14 F150 Fx4. I gotta read the book to figure out how to use it! What technology! amazing!
I got it for $500 under invoice plus $5250 in rebates! That was cheaper than using XPlan.

I did the same thing. Got a sweet deal on a 2014 Lariat with the 502 option. Personally didn't want to get a first year brand new truck and I kind of like the old style versus the 2015's.

The '15s are definitely nice and on paper are clearly worth some extra $s to get what it offers. But, in reality, I'm sure we will start to see threads on here with issues that crop up after the new ones are on the road. I went with a '14 earlier this year because the discounts are pretty good and most of the issues have been worked out or are well known.

It's a tough call for sure. Have you considered going with either a lease or a used one so you have the option to more easily trade 2 or 3 years down the road?
