Hi Meagan,
I tried to PM you about a leaking moon roof in my truck. It said your inbox was full...
It's my 2nd time back to get this issue serviced. It's gotten a lot worse. Here's my last post... https://www.f150forum.com/f118/2015-...4/#post4191630

Hello Deysha,
You helped me track my Platinum in 2010, and my fx4 in 2013. I need you again. I'm told this is close, but want to see when the dealer should have it. 2015 Platinum [REMOVED].
If Deysha is no longer doing this, can somebody please help!! Thanks in advance
Dave

Deysha isn't on this forum anymore. I'm happy to help, though! I recommend editing your post to remove your VIN, and then send it to me in a private message.

Hi Meagan, I've been having issues with my steering again and Brittany said she was going to look into it for me. My dealer, Kenny Ross Ford South, is telling me that they cannot duplicate the problem, but it is there is a consistent rattle in the steering when driving straight and clunking when turning when it gets hot. This is the 3rd time I've had it in for the same issue. The first time I received the "cannot duplicate" story, the second time with Customer Service assistance they replaced the lower steering shaft that improved the issue somewhat but never completely fixed it, and now 8k miles later it is worse than ever. I know that the entire steering rack needs replaced based on other people's stories, but I can't get them to even acknowledge that there is an issue. I'd appreciate any help you can provide because my next step is to trade it in and swear off Ford products for good.

Meagan,
I'm not sure what to do. I've bought 8 new ford trucks since 1995- five Rangers and the last three have been F-150s. The most recent is a 2013 F-150 4x4 XLT crew cab with Ecoboost. It has had some issues with the intercooler building up condensation, but that was fixed with a TSB. It's also had the 'hard shift' problem but I just don't accelerate hard enough for that to concern me anymore. What does concern me is my latest problem as you will see in the brief video below. I went to start the truck last Sunday morning and had this 'knock'. I immediately had it towed to my local dealer, who yesterday diagnosed it with 'piston slap' on the #2 cylinder. This came as a huge surprise as I had driven the day before, as I always do, with no sign or warning of any kind that there was an engine malfunction. I have NEVER had any engine problems with any of my previous trucks. I drive 50k miles per year (traveling sales) for the last 14 years and have had up to 260k miles on Ford trucks before, never having any failures. I maintain my vehicles religiously. I understand that this may be an ongoing issue with Ecoboost engines. I have 88k miles on this truck and don't feel as though this is a user induced breakdown. Seems more like a design or mechanical flaw. Please see video below. What are your thoughts?

I'll be happy to check out some options. What's your year and mileage?

Heading to your dealer immediately was a great first step, and I can check into the next ones. Please send me a private message with your VIN, best daytime phone number, full name, and dealer name/location.

Please allow for a two business day turnaround, as I'm on other forums as well.

Ok just got back from the dealer for the 2nd time about my seat backs not cooling. 1st time I brought my truck to the dealer the service department checked out my seats to see if they were cooling. Well the seat bottoms got down to 68 degrees and the seat backs went UP to 95 Degrees! The service department acknowledged there was an issue. They contacted Ford Mo Co to ask for advice. Ford sent them a list of things to check and told the dealer to order some parts for the repair. The dealer told me to take the truck home and they would call me when to bring the truck back in. Well I dropped it off yesterday and they worked on it today. I think they said they replaced some kind of controller. But this still did not fix the problem. So the service department called Ford back to let them know this did not fix anything... NOW GET THIS! Ford is now saying there is no issue with the seats They are working as they should! WTF REALLY!!!!!! My 2012 FX4 would send shivers down my spine.... This new one leaves me with a wet shirt. The service department went out to check another F150 on the lot and guess what? It has the same problem. How can you call 95 degrees cooled when its 80 degrees outside? This is total BS! I paid extra for A/C seats and now I can't use them. If I do my bottom gets cooled while my back gets roasted! There seems to be quite a few of us on this forum alone that are experiencing the same problem. I think Ford has to come to terms with this ASAP and take care of its loyal customers. Either fix the problem or give us our money back on the cost of the A/C seat option.
