Thumbs Up for the 3M Stripe-Off Wheel
Last evening I used the 3M Stripe-Off Wheel to remove what was left of the 13-year-old pinstripes down the driver's side of my new-to-me '03. That and some Goof-Off solvent made pretty quick work of it. (Passenger side and tailgate are yet to be done.)

Of course, now I have ghost stripes. I was hoping to run naked, but I'll probably just re-stripe it with black.
I also used the wheel to remove tape residue from the rubber moulding around the windows (and from the paint above the rear windows) where some stick-on ventshades had been removed. I started very cautiously, and used a slower speed than on the paint, but the results were great!

Pretty pleased so far.

I don't know. I can't think of a single car/truck I've seen where I've said, "Those narrow tape stripes look *wonderful*!" First thing I've done to nearly every pin-striped vehicle I've had was to pull those off. The only exception I can think of is my '99 Lariat, but those came off eventually as well. Over-chromification is another thing I can't get behind.
Example: My Lincoln LS before and after. (I still miss that car like crazy!)

By the way: Do NOT use the wheel on plastic (like the bed rails). I experimented on a scrap piece, and it was no bueno.
