Default Rear ended car, how to straighten bumper brackets

O.K., I wasn't paying enough attention, and kissed a Honda. I have attempted to use a tow strap around a tree and pull the brackets straight, but I keep losing traction and doing burnouts in my cul-de-sac. Any ideas? The bumper itself is only slightly bent, it is just the brackets. Help.

Thanks,
Lance

simple, remove the bumper and brackets , remove brackets, get a hammer and straighten them , then reattach

Yeah, you're not going to pull steel straight.

You might be able to straighten them this way, but you have to leave some slack in the pull strap to jerk the bracket. To much and You snap the strap.
