Default Damage to truck while at Dealer for oil change

Hi...

I'm looking for advice from anyone who may have had a similar issue and what I shoudl be doing.

4 months ago I purchased a new 2014 F150 FX4. I dropped my truck off on Sunday at a Ford Dealership for her 1st PM. I went to pick it up last night...and the manager took me out to show it to me...and they had gotten something splattered all over the hood. (my brother thinks brake fluid?) It looked like sap from a tree...but it certainly wasn't. I had just washed my truck on Saturday and towel dried it and there was nothing on it.

His body guy looked at it and said they are going to have to repaint the hood. They will use PPG envirobase paint, but do I need them to give me any thing else? They will have to keep my truck until Saturday now. They are giving me a rental to use until then.

I'm trying to be polite...but I'M REALLY Pissed...Will this diminish the value if I when I decide to trade? Will the paint fade differently?

You will be fine. Just no waxing for 90-120 days after you get the truck back

it shouldn't dv if they paint it properly and it matches. Since there wasn't actual damage nothing should be reported like to a carfax report or anything

My friends tell me I should make the dealership guarantee in writing that if the paint fades differently while I own the truck...they will repaint the whole truck...

Brand new truck...man I'm sad!

No problem, I was just directing other to the thread with more posts. I think one of the moderators will find this and close it.

I'm not sure either.
