Sony sound
I have a raptor on order, and I am wondering about the Sony sound system. I am trading my bmw m5 which has an amazing logic 7 sound system and I understand it won't be that, but, how is it??

From my first vehicle I have swapped sound systems out.
17-19yrs old. First vehicle I had used alpine door speakers and 2 8" Kicker substations with kenwood amp.
19-21yrs old. Second vehicle kenwood headinit and 5 channel amp with kicker components and Comp VR 10"s
21-24yrs old. Third vehicle kenwood head unit, 3 JL amps, MB Quart components and 10" Subs
24-28yrs old. Forth vehicle kenwood headunit factory door speakers and a 8" bazooka tube
28-29present years old. Fifth vehicle. Factory Sony system. It's clear and sounds great. The sub bumps not to bad(added polyfil). My only complaint is that the highs aren't high enough for my liking.
Basically what I'm saying is that after having loud systems my entire life, getting older has made me enjoy the clarity of the Sony system(other than highs not loud enough). I dont plan to do anything to it unless there is a easy fix to getting highs louder. Does this make since?

I can only tell you that there are many threads on this forum with people asking how to improve or upgrade the Sony Package. It is far too expensive an add on for what you actually get.
Some are pleased with it, but Sony doesn't have a reputation for great car audio.

I did'nt think it was possible but this 14 so called premium audio is worse than my 12! this 14 does'nt even sound good at low volume. Trash can is the only sure fix. Call cruthfield there's option's but nothing cheap. It's hard to get any sound quality when you have no power an a bunch of 2 dollor speaker's. I replaced the front door speaker's with a pair i had and unhooked the pathetic cheap center an it helped but now i can hear the harsh tweet's, so i'm killin them next. My center an tweet's are crossed way TOO low. Nothing but high freq should be coming out of the tweet. And no way the center can play that low.

Sony system sucks..end of story, but if you get a processor to sum the line outputs...it gets golden! amp/ speakers and sub and perfection
