Default Changed fuel filter now running hotter?

I hope IAm in the right forum we recently changed out fuel filter on 97 ford f150 it starts ok but the wierd thing is the temp runs slightly higher now the gauge sits higher then where it used to.Is this normal? Or should we be looking for another problem?

This the engine thread for the Raptor. Post in the main 97-03 section, that one doesn't have an engine section.
