if it aint an inline 6, then it shouldnt be a diesel.. i work on fords everyday, id take any cummins EVER over a powerstroke, there to crammed and to expensive to fix (and i dont even have to pay for labor), i love my 5.4 but if i coulda found a 5.9 cummins id be on a dodge forum typing

I'd buy it. There are people out there who have successfully swapped Cummins B3.9's into late model F150's and see 30 mpg on the non ISB engines. I'd buy one, then just delete all of the emissions. Isn't needed to meet regulations it's just used to keep from building a new block. Currently, the B6.7 is the only LT engine on the market that meets emissions regs and doesn't use urea.
One thing to also consider, ford is currently the only American truck (LT and HD) to build their diesels in house. Yet you can still order a F350 with whatever engine you want in it.
