what year tranny will fit my 2000 4x4
My transmission is not going into 3rd gear. If I wind it up in second and wait like 10 seconds it will skip 3 and overdrive is fine. It done it to me a few months ago. And I changed out the transmisson range sensor. And that fixed it. Tryed that again but it didn't work. Now im thinking somethings broke inside. Fluid looks ok. Didnt hear any weird noises.
I wanted to keep an Eye out for a used one. My truck is a 2000 extended cab 4x4 short bed. With 130k on the odometer. Which cuts in and out alot. I know the extention houseing and shafts are different sizes. Would a 97 extended cab 4x4 have the exact match. Or an 03? Or did they make little changes that would make me use a 2000 model only.
If I can get a rebuildable one cheap enuf I would attempt to build it. And swap it. But 4r70w seem to go for 400 cheapest
