Default What is it?

I have a 2004 F-150, 2wd, 5.4, Supercrew. Laying on top of the passenger side valve cover, near the rear of it, is a red wire or vacuum line that runs down behind the engine. It isn't connected to anything, and I'm wondering what it's for. The truck seems to be running fine.

Thanks

You mean my excellent description wasn't sufficient?

I'll see if I can get a picture in the morning.

Here's a picture of it.

If it's a test port, what does it test?
