Default Supercharging the 4.6L

I have been looking around for a supercharger (or any performance products) for the 05 4.6L 2v and haven't been able to find too many company's making upgrades for the F150 with the 4.6, mostly only for 5.4 trucks. Does anybody know how similar the older Mustang motors are to the 05 4.6. Could I use a supercharger off of an older cobra. What is the static compression on the truck motors anyways?

Static CR is 9.3:1.

The 00-04 mustang GT 2-valves are essentially the same. A blower for those would bolt-on, but attaching the rest of the fiddly bits (tb, egr, etc...) would require some custom stuff. And this is assuming that the serpentine system lines up the same.

The blower setup from a 4v cobra motor won't come close to fitting. The heads are completely different.

Go to google and search for prochargers that's the best supercharger/ turbo setup I've found for a f150 yet and it bolts right on without requiring a tune

I have supercharged my old 02 GT. I wont do it again. The 4.6ls are known for having weak bottom ends when it comes to boost. They can only handle about 8psi and even then its really too much. Of course, you do hear of the people who get lucky and run forever that way. Your choice.

I have 30k miles on mine since I put the S/C on my '02. I run 10lbs.

That being said, I don't race it much. I am just starting to see some clutch slippage issues. I did a low-impact tune and am pushing 360rwhp, 372rwtq.

I have asked this question about moving the S/C from the Mustang to my '10 F150 if I ever dump the Mustang for one reason or another (wife probably won't let me) and the resounding answer I've gotten is that it will take some custom plumbing and possibly a custom mount for the centrifugal charger.

A roots charger is probably out of the question.
