i have a 98 f150 4.2 v6 2wd i have not pulled noting yeat but does anyone now if they pull ok

How much weight and what are you thinking about pulling?

um, noway. 10K your borderline in the Super Duty territory.

My truck has a 5.4 and is only rated to tow 8200 or 8800lbs.

i was told 10K is what out 04-07 w/5.4Ls can pull...

Yep, if you have a 2wd regular cab HD150 with 410 or 411 gears (whatever one it is Ford uses).

i dont thank i will pull 10k but my 01 suzuki viara with 2.0 i pulled a load that was 6k so if i can pull about 8k one a year for about 20 miles that will be good

It will pull the 8K not at any speed. Is it an Auto if so I would install a HUGE tranny cooler since it wont have one. Make sure you are pulling from a reciever hitch NOT the bumper. Do not pull in overdrive. Overall BE CAREFUL remember 8k is almost 2 times your trucks weight.
