Default tired and wore out 4.6 engine swap!

i recently purchased my 98 f150 1/2 with a 4.6 in it the truck frame has 330,000 miles plus and i cant say about the engine and drive line. i sold my GK tiburon GT because the harsh wyoming weather here is not low slung sports cars friendly...
basicly after reading sevral pages of posts i would definaltely like to do some sort of a motor swap, weather it be a 4.6 dohc mustang engine, or a 5.4 triton what ever!! or even build the 4.6 thats in there with a bullet proff motor
also i have all the turbocharger stuff from the tib that i pulled off before i sold it!

parts list are
garret t3 70 trim
OBX deltagate
synapse bov
cx intercooler
AEM FIC
and all the oilines and fitings couplers blah, blah blah

so could the experienced builders and modders chime in and point me in the right direction

threads, forums, or info would be great!

HP goal are 500at the crank or 450 at the wheels what will it take to achieve this!!!!!

thankSS

Your tired 4.6 is not a good place to start. I would find a good 99+ 5.4 and build it for boost with a forged bottom end. The trans will need to be beefed up as will the torque converter. Would you do much of the work yourself?

Yep, you have to wonder about the engineering and packaging some times, but the p/s, coil packs, evr, etc can all be relocated after the transplant.
From what I see, it is not a bad swap to a 5.4 2v or 4v. I would do a 4v if I was going to the trouble....99'-03' Navi.
