Default Synthetic or Regular Oil?

What kind of oil do you use? Synthetic or Regular?

Also, if you use Synthetic how often do you change your Oil?

Always used regular Quaker state or valvoline. Engine is still pulling strong at 141,000.

Motorcraft Synthetic Blend 5w-20 and a Motorcraft Filter every 3K. I prepiad for a 3yr-35k servive package when I bought my truck. After that it will get Mobil One full synthetic 5w-20 and a Motorcraft filter.

i use regular oil either 5W-20 or 5W-30 and i use either a Fram or Motorcraft oil filter. If i am going to be driving it hard or towing nething during that time i will use the recommened 5W-20 and a motorcraft filter. I think 5W-30 works fine and it is a lot easier to find.

I know that I am ignorant on this subject, so don't laugh. What are the advantages of a synthetic oil over regular oil?
