Default swap 99 4.6 to a 5.4, How hard is this?

I've got a 99 F150 with a 4.6 with 170,000 miles and it's developing a knock in the mornings when the engine is cold, (sounds like piston slap but not sure). Then it get's quieter as it warms up, and it is only noticed on acceleration. I'm thinking about swapping to 5.4 because I pull a camper with this truck and would like more power. Is there a place I can check for info on what would be neccesary to do this or does someone here have any help on the subject?????

with the amount of trucks ford makes, it would make sense to get a truck a few years newer and less miles.
