I like turbos alot but the turbo lag is a big con but again you can't beat the sound of that turbo spooling up when you punch it but if i was to get one would definately have to be one that goes under the hood, screw that STS one, it would get caked in so much dirt and mud plus imagine how often you would be changed the air filter lol

but then again Ford used to put superchargers on their F150's from the factory so you know they can't be that bad IMO

When they mean lag its just the turbo is not ment to perform at low rpm so it waits to a certain rpm before it gains enough speed to provide +hp. It does take a few HP down low since its restricting the airflow but not much. A turbo you have to wait for the power and its all up top (depending on size and tuning) they are higher maint also. Supercharger is less maint simpler to install and if your at 1200k or 2500k and hit the gas it will rip out of the hole. Its midrange power is where its most effective A SC would walk away from a turbo but the turbo will catch back up since its more effective for higher end power. Id go with a SC its less tempermental, cheaper faster install, sounds better when you get into it. i love that JET NOISE! And its much better for those quick bursts of speed!

Both have there good points. The one thing a supercharger have going for them is they have less moving parts and are easier to install. This example is from Ford Racing:
