Most people say go for the turbo. Supercharger takes horsepower to turn but the turbo uses exhaust so it doesn't rob horsepower to run. But you also have turbo lag while the supercharger is right there when you nail the gas pedal.

I'm not a turbo expert, but I don't think there is a way around the lag. The exhaust has to flow to spin the turbo up to speed, and this takes a little time.

if you get a properly sized turbo, or pair of turbos for your motor, there will be no lag. turbo technology has come a long way but the stereo type that turbos lag has yet to catch up with the times

turbo lag = what your motor is n/a pretty much

so if you have a 240 hp motor as a na motor and a peek of 405 hp turbo....then at lag you will see 240 for example

no one makes a 4.6 s/c nor a 4.6 kit that i have seen worth buying...

and sts is a joke, stay away imo

i have been doing research and the truck is getting done when im back from deployment, turbo, motor, r100 tranny or built r75, and 4.56's, but you must do research and you must understand both systems to make a choice, plus you cant complian about gas prices as your going to start running 93/91 octain...

if you have questions id be more then happy to help and answer as turbos are my strong point but try and understand everything that is needed to add forced induction...as our r70 trannys arent the best when you add power into them...

id say look at a kenny bell supercharger. they are probably the best supercharger on the market and you wont notice the robbed horsepower. plus when you nail the gas all you can hera is the charger

Turbo is the way to go, but don't go over like 8 psi. the Rods cant handle the HP. Stock 4.6 rods are only good to 400 flywheel HP.
