Default Can my camshaft be 360 out?

I need to know how to tell if my cam is 360 out or if it can be. My engine being an interference engine has me extra cautious.

LOL if the cam was 360 out it would be right where it should be, you must mean 180 out.

Only way to know for sure if the cam is off is by pulling the engine down and visually inspect the timing marks.

Some ones yanking your chain.

LOL. OK, so spoon feed it to me if youd be so kind. Before I got my other "advice" I figured if the timing marks were matched on the sprockets and the chain then I'm good to go. Right?

By the way, The reason Im asking is because I had to replace my crank and I didnt time the engine before dismantling it. I didnt take anything off of the heads, but from my very modest understanding of how interference engines work, Im not very confident that I wont booger up something pretty bad by assuming I have it timed right.

Ok 1st off you will need access to these special tools or their equivalent.

Without those tools you risk bending every valve in the heads as it is an interference engine, if you do not have access to those tools, pack it all up in boxes and take it to someone that does.
