Default Spark plug issued

Does anyone here know if the 2008 F-150 have the same spark plug issues (plugs breaking) as the 04-06 models that I have heard and read in many different F-150 forums? Nobody have mentioned if the 08 models inherent the same plug issues.

I want to know in advance so I can replace them sooner before the plugs seized over time.

I apologize if this is a repost. I am new to this forum and I can not find a place to seach previous posts.

Actually not all 07-08's came with the new plugs.I also don't think the 07's were fixed. Now the late model 08's were fixed.I know someone with a 07,and one person with a 08 xlt,and one person with a 08 fx4.His 07 had the two piece plugs when we pulled them and changed them out.The 08 xlt also had the 2piece plugs when my buddy tony pulled them at his shop. Then i helped my Buddy tony at his shop with a 08 fx4 and his were one piece plugs as were changing them out as he ordered brisk plugs for his.Bet bet is to look in your manual and see if you have the 2piece plugs. Also check to see if you have a late model 08 and if so,you have one piece.

The redesign was implemented on production schedule November 16, 2007 as I remember correctly. That means some of the 2007s will have the old design plugs.

I looked at the sitcker inside my door and it printed 05/08 as the manufacture date. I will take a look in my manual and see if it will tell me which plug is in my truck, if not I guess I will try to remove one and see what is in it.

Thanks for the info.

I Belive your truck should have the one piece plugs since your truck was made during the last run process.Just to be sure thoe, ask a stealership and they should be able to tell you free of charge instead of you removing one and haveing it brake off.Let us know what you find out....
