Any ideas on my clunking noise on stop and take off? Generally speaking greasing the splines only helps for a bit. Is' it possible that some of the clunking could come from the rear flange? Ford just took the rear end apart and with 150k miles they wanted to rebuild it for 2k (no can do) but they said it' just normal wear and tear so I really don' think it is associated with the noise.
Any input or direction would be helpful.
