Default Rough Idle

I have a 2006, 4.6 with 25000 miles. Lately it's been idling a little rough, not enough to show on the tach but you can feel it in your seat. There are no codes and it runs great over about 1000 rpm. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should check first?

I've ran two bottles of Lucas injector cleaner through it, it helped a little but it's still doesn't run like it should.

You could try another trick. Inject ATF into the gas. It will make you the first vehicle at the next traffic light. LOL!
Honestly it will clean the carbon out.

If your putting it in the tank it's not the same as injecting it in the booster line. When was the last time you did a tune up?

New here, signed onto this site for my dad.
He has a 97 F150 and has a rough idle as well. I recently ran a can of seafoam through my truck, was just wondering if ya'll could tell me the location of the pcv valve or the brake booster line so I can do it for his.

Thanks.

PVC valve is on the valve cover, I believe it's on the passenger side. The brake booster line is connected to the brake booster (round canister). It's on the drivers side firewall the, the master cylinder is mounted to it.

Here's a thread with some videos when I did mine.

with 25 k on it you shouldnt be putting anything in it,, maybe on a high mileage engine but on an 06 w 25k I would prob have the problem diagnosed rather than causing more...

Make sure its not over full of eng oil, that will cause an eng vibration! Have you had any issues starting or smelling fuel?
