I have a question about my 4.6l. At idle its not running smooth and seems like a mis-fire?? with only 1500 miles i am concerned. Coming from super duty diesel to a gasser, i sure do miss that power that the 6.0l gave me.
But is there a fix for this mis-fire feeling or just normal. Only occurs at idle and rough at times. thanks in advance

Welcome to the site!

IMO - one of the many great things about a V-8 is its ability to idle smoothly. With only 1500 miles, suggest to have a conversation with the dealer - certainly not a widespread problem I've heard of with the 4.6L.

I have a 08 4.6L screw 2400 miles and have only put exhaust on it....no problems so far.

i am not sure about the 08's but i know there is a pcm update for 4.6 rough idle

Thanks for the info. I will contact the dealer to see if there is a flash and or have them to check it out.
