Post Rear end going out (again)

Hello everyone out there I am Heywood1960 and I am in Missouri and I really look forward to hearing about and learning many things from all you Ford guys, and getting information to help me with my own vehicle. I will always be glad to help as well that is if I can. I am now having a problem with my 2002 F150 Extended Cab 4x4 4.6 FX4. Every 50 to 55,000 miles I am having to replace the rear end. It begins howling at 40 to 50,000 and starts eating up the gears in the rear end forcing me to drive it really easy until I locate another rear end to replace it with. I now have 123,000 on the truck and have been driving very easy for the last 5 to 10,000 miles as it is howling again and getting louder all the time. It howls between 50 and 55 miles per hr and after 60-65 mph you don't hear it anymore. I replaced it at around 50-50,000 miles and its time to look for another one. Does anyone have any advice, or what may be causing this problem??? Could my driveshaft be unbalanced??? It doesn't feel like it but, perhaps that doesn't matter and I may not be able to tell. I really like my old truck, and it still looks really good but, I wanna find out what is causing this so I don't have to worry with it anymore, and can keep driving the old gal. All help appreciated and, thanks in advance.
Heywood.
