Quick transmission question, help a newbie?
Hey guys, I have a 3-speed manual tranny that I am going to be installing, but I have a problem. Take a look at the attached picture. I need the small round cover plate that allows the speedometer cable to be installed. I don't even know what it is called, which would help a lot. And maybe someone knows where I could find one?
Thanks!

Yes sir it is. But take a look at this picture that I found online. It shows a cover over the hole, with the speedometer attachment in the middle. Is that all one piece?
Thanks!

It is one piece it has an "O" ring to seal it to the transmission and is held in place by a clamp and cap screw the speedo gear slips in side and has a square hole in the end to mate with the speedo cable. there are several gears available with different tooth count to match tire size and gear ratio. also different pitch depending if it goes in above or below the output shaft.
