Default Programmers

I have been researching two different programmers, the superchip and the edge evolution programmer. I was wondering if anyone has either programmer in an f-150 5.4 2007 4x4 supercrew, and how it performs power wise and gas mileage wise. Also if anyone has a different programmer that performs better than these 2 please let me know. thanks

I would go with the gryphon (custom tuned edge) or an sct tuner (custom tuned xcal or livewire).

Avoid garbage like superchumps and hypercrap.

I have the Superchips in my. Comes with 3 different programs, along with a 4th via download.

1) 91 Performance
2) 91 Tow
3) 87 Performance
4) Millage XS

I currently have the 91 performance in, but due to gas im going to back it down to the 87. I have not downloaded the Millage program yet, but from the forums, it is supposed to give 10-15% gains.

I just took a trip with the 91 installed and got 16.5 and my truck is bone stock with 1000 miles on it. I hear that the fords usually gain mpg's and a little more power around 5000 miles. ( That info is through a source in the Superchips forum)

Noticeable power gains in both the 87 and the 91...

One draw back, there is a huge debate as it seems about %50 of the people using a CAI have problems with the Tuners. They notice a loss of power with the CAI. However, I know that you can send the tuner in and get a custom tune to work with the CAI in question.

My cousin has an 08 FX2 with the Edge. The engine began to miss with it installed so he had to back it down to stock. He is not sure if it was the programmer or the truck itself. It does not miss on the stock setting though.
