Question Opinions from 4.6L owners

I am looking to buy another F-150 SCrew 4x4 with the 4.6L V8, but it has 235,000 miles on it. They want $4990 for it, and it's in excellent condition. Is it worth buying for that price, and possibly putting in a another motor down the road or just keep looking for one with lower miles? All inputs would be appreciated. Thanks

5k for 235,000 miles.. no way. I could find plenty of F150s with 150k for 5k in my area.. keep looking. That's also 235,000 miles on the whole truck, your not just looking at a motor, but replacing many other parts.

Keep looking.

Nice looking worn out truck. Get the picture? You don't want it at any price. Far too many miles on the entire truck....unless you just like rebuilding and spending tons of money on a truck that will never be worth anything. Keep looking and find one for that money but with under 100,000 miles on the clock. They're out there, you just have to look and wait.

Thanks for all the inputs! I finally decided to go with this 2000 F-150 4x4 with the 5.4L V8, and only 105,000 miles for $6000. Wish me luck with it. Any suggestions on stuff to do with it as soon as I get it, like change fluids etc...?
