No Heat
I'm looking for some info to fix my 2000 F150 XL. I have no heat but plenty of air flow from the vents. Just replace the thermostat and water pump due to leaks from bad gaskets. wounder if I have got air in the lines and how to blead them. Need help I am sick of the cold.

No heat
Sounds like it's airlocked. Had this in a car at one time and I was able to get it out by having the heat on full, went up and down a parking ramp with some steep inclines a couple of times in low gear while keeping the rpms up. Blew it right through without doing anything else. Some times you luck out and that's all it took for me.

heater is run off oil heat so if engine is not heating up you get no heat in the cab. so there is no way of getting airlocked because that means your oil pump is pumping air, it could be a clogged heater core in which case it would help to run some tranny fluid in your engine oil because of the amount of detergents in it. or it is that the door to the heater core is not opening so the air is not able to pass by the heater core which would make the air blow but not blow hot.

Check the heaters hoses for temperature, if both are near the same temp and feel hot to the touch, everything is good. The blend door should be looked at for the no heat issue.
