LSD acting up?
2011 Ecoboost / Auto / 3.55 LSD. Started getting this noise today from the rear end, only happens in turns, both to the left and to the right. I believe I've pinpointed it to the differential. Does this sound like the limited-slip is engaging full-time?

Mine does the exact same also. Does yours vibrate when that happens? I figure it just the LSD clutch plates or whatever they're called still being engaged while turning but not sure if its something I should worry about. I have an xlt scab 5.0 3.55 4x4

I had a similar thing with my mustang. I added some friction modifier to the diff fluid. Fixed the problem. Not sure if it'll help you but worth a shot.

Yes. I had my clutch packs replaced at 45,000. It is going back to the shop today for it's 60,000 maintenance and I have a strong feeling that it is going they will be replaced again. The symptoms are worse this time then they were the last and getting worse quickly.

I dropped the truck off Monday night and hadn't heard from the dealer end of day yesterday so I gave them a call. The service guy went to check on the status for me and when he returned he said "What I am being told is that there was an unusual problem with the clutch packs we put in for you last time and we are going to have to replace them again." They are expecting to receive parts and hoping to have it fixed today but he said it may run into tomorrow. It is not reassuring that I have gone through two clutch packs in less than 60,000 miles. Since everyone is not having this problem I have to assume there is some other problem causing the premature wear. My driving is mostly highway and I have done no offroading and very little towing so I don't see any reason for me to wear the clutch packs out any quicker than anyone else.

will run you OVER
dang. It should not be doing that. One of the reasons why I went with a full locker, it will unlock around corners, other than that its locked. IMO its a lot better than a device that decides when you do and do not have traction for you, you may want to look into a mechanical locker or selectable (air/electric) locker, then you wont have all the clutch packs.

I have to strongly consider getting rid of the truck at this point. I'll be hitting 60,000 miles this weekend and the next set of clutch packs will presumably be on my dime. This is one of three items that has had to be replaced more than once under warranty. The truck has spent probably close to two months of the less than 34 I have owned it in the shop. It sucks because I do really love the truck when it is working properly.
Though not technically a lemon by law (at least here in Ohio) I think lemon is a pretty good description of what I have and I'm not sure I will be able to afford to keep it.
