Hey guys, I have a 2000 f150 with the 4.6. My transmission has about 230k on it, and finally burnt up on me. Ive been told these came with two different trannys, but I thought you could tell by the amount of bolts on the pan. Mine has 14, so I figured it was the 4r70w. Then I got told there was 2 of those. One with a YLT number and one with a YL3. Mine shows a YL3. So what can I get a transmission out of?

Will a transmission from a 2001 with the 5.4 fit in my truck?

Yes. The 2 different versions of the 4R70W are the v6 - small block ford bolt pattern & the v8 modular bolt pattern bell housing. Any 4r70W from a 97-03 V8 F150 will work.
