Just bought a 97 4x4 f150 larit with th 5.4l and 59,441 miles. I chaned the fuel pump and got it running. Has a really rough idle and no power. so i changed the plugs and run seafoam through it and still nothing. It has a weird shaking at about 35 to 60 mph when you ease into the throttle butwhen you lay into it it stops shaking but when you let off and ease back into it it starts shaking agian. i really need some help any would be appreciated. Did you change the fuel filter when you replaced the pump. Nice job finding a 97 with that low mileage btw.

yes after i got it running i went and got the oil change the fuel filter and lubed the chassis. BTW i only paid $2000 for it!

check your motor mounts and check your connection between the motor and the tranny.

It sounds like you have bad fuel injectors.
