GForce Chip
I'm brand new to this forum so if this has been discussed already, I apologize. I want to know what you all think of the GForce Chip that is suppose to increase mileage by 4-7mpg and boost horsepower up to 60hp. My 5.4 is thirsty so I'm wondering if this really helps the mileage as claimed by the manufacturer.

complete junk. its nothing more then a 50 cent chip from radio shack that tricks the computer into thinking its really cold outside. the computer compensates by adding some timing and more fuel. youll be lucky if you gain any power and it doesnt ruin your motor

Thanks luckythirteen13. I'll hold off on the chip mod. I think I'll put in some fuel sysytem cleaner instead. My "new" 97' truck was previously purchased new and owned by an 85 year old Grandpa who passed away recently. He only put 42,000 miles on it in 13 years!

Sounds like a good deal! The truck that is, NOT the chip.
As lucky stated, complete junk. There's a reason real tuners cost $350 to $400 a pop.... These almost as bad as a throttle body spacer....
