hey guys, sold my toyota 4x4 trd for problems i do believe. bought a used ford throws up code p0320 crank position sensor. changed no help. checked wiring, no help. truck stalls and jerks on hwy, put some fuel system cleaner and no help still. what could this be. please help

Something could have happened to the crankshaft sensor ring.

I have the same year and model truck with the same problem. I've tried a dozen of the recommended fixes with no luck. I was hoping it was not the ring on the crank, but the motor was just rebuilt so it seems the logical last check. I will go find a Chilton's but need to know if I should start drinking before I open it. $1,000,000 question....can I access the ring without pulling the motor?

Yes, you can get it w/o pulling the engine. But your going to have to pull the timing cover which is a lengthy process in itself. Pull the radiator & shroud to give you some working room. Pull the power steering pump bracket and lay pump to the side. Pull the A/C compressor and lay to the side. Pull the alternator. Pull the crank pully with an appropriate puller. And wallah, your finally ready to remove the timing cover. Only a dozen or so bolts to go...... Oh, and remember where the cover bolts are located as well as hose holders, etc.. There are different sizes & lengths.
