i dont care how much this would cost, but once my engine goes, 150k miles on it, im going to convert it to diesel... i need the extra mpg, and power is certainly a plus

Good Idea...Except:
mucked up by EPA emission regulations that it will not perform very much
better than a gasoline engine. Mileage would be a little better no matter what,
but power will be down unless some serious rework of the intake system is done.
Unless I miss my guess, the state of NJ will regulate you to death and your attempts
at a diesel conversion will be a nightmare.

Diesel power should be kept to those who need it. Not those little buttholes who want to brag about it. Those who knew about diesel before they knew what excess black smoke was is how it should stay..
Im sick of these ******* kids who think they are going to have fast trucks by having diesels. If your girl friend is that fat and you need a diesel i feel for you.
If not stay away

what's wrong with wanting to have a cummins 2500 that runs 12's or 13's?? just cause i don't pull a trailer more than a couple times a year doesn't mean i love the sound, the way they drive, or the awesome ways to tune one.... i'll take a 2003 dodge 2500 with a cummins H.O. any day over my f150 because of the cummins that's in it
yes i'm a kid, no my g/f aint fat, and yes if i had one.... it would go fast

Any domestic diesel for your truck, assuming you can find one, will be so
mucked up by EPA emission regulations that it will not perform very much
better than a gasoline engine. Mileage would be a little better no matter what,
but power will be down unless some serious rework of the intake system is done.
