Default Engine swap

I am new to this forum, so I apologize if this thread is in the wrong category. Now to my question, I recently wrecked my 2006 mustang gt. It was mildly built and made 438rwhp on the dyno. My dad has an 05 F150 so I got to thinking about maybe doing a swap since the engine in my mustang is totally fine. Has anyone ever attempted this swap and I don't know what I would have to do in order to make it work. My car was a standard, the truck is an automatic and it's 4x4. I am curious as to whether or not the tranny is going to bolt up even with an adapter. Any advice or opinions are appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Is it a mildly built 4.6L? And what is in the F150, 4.6 or 5.4?

Depending on how you feel about them, you might think I'm crazy but did you ever consider putting that 4.6 into a crown victoria or a grand marquis? They're awesome daily driving cars and it would be sweet to have one with some *****. I had a modded grand marquis for a year or two and loved it, it was like driving your couch. You could put the mustang wheels on it too and make a decent sleeper out of it. They handle a lot better then you would imagine as well.

Great idea, especially if the truck is fine otherwise. No need to go mad scientist on a vehicle that is working already.
