Default Engine RPM Protection
Recently, I was driving my 2007 F-150 FX-4 kinda hard. Hit 5000 rpm and the motor seemed like it was shutting down. Kinda like there was a govenor in place. Seemed kinda odd since the engine was still pulling, anybody have some insight?

IT does have a speed and RPM limiter. If you want to get rid of it get a good tuner.

dont plan on spinning it past 6,000rpm....the stroke kills the volumetric efficiency at high rpm.

So the 5.4 we dynoed that made peak HP @ 6125 was a lie???... Of course it wasnt totally stock either.

we both know that the extended stroke of the engine degrades efficiency of the motor at higher rpm.
