Question on power train Warranty
Hey yall,
I have a 2012 SCREW lariat 5.0 4x4. Last year I had the vacuum lines replaced as my truck kept jumping in and out of 4x4 at will. Now this week I went to yank a buddy out of a muddy field, and my 4x4 would not engage.
I took it back to the dealer thinking it was possibly the same problem, and they reported back that my actuator motor within the transfer case is shot.
They are telling me this is not covered under my power train warranty, so for parts and labor I am now facing a $680 repair bill.
I sure do miss manual locking hubs!
Anyway, I really would have thought this should be covered. Anyone here have more knowledge about the warranties offered on a used truck? I though power train would cover the transfer case.
Thanks for any insight you can offer.
