Department of Redundancy Department - CEL and rough idle
2005 5.4 Liter Lariat F150 w/37K on the ODO
Background -
Headed to my folks house, moderately warm engine (less than 10 min drive) in the wake of the big snow on the East coast.
GENTLY crested the berm created by the snow plows and IMMEDIATELY got a check engine light and rough running condition.
Temps were in the high 20's.
After 2 days, the idle/rough running condition continued with gas mileage going through the floor. CEL went away.
I haven't run the code (need to do that), but my local dealership charges close to $100 for diagnostic time.
My knee-jerk reaction is a few options:
_ Vacuum leak _ I will check tomorrow
- TPS/MAF issue/O2 sensor
Short of throwing parts at the truck, any thoughts?
CEL is now off and the running problem seems to have corrected itself
Any suggestions or should I leave it alone?

Gas mileage still has a significant drop.
Truck goes to "the doctor" tomorrow to figure it out...
