I just purchased a 2007 Ext Cab F150 w/ the 4.6 L V-8. I am looking to add a dual exhaust and a cold air intake, but can't find anything for the CAI. I am not sure how much the engine changed from 2006, but from what I can tell, it was enough to be certain that a 2006 intake will fit the 2007. I had a 2004 FX4 F150 w/ the 5.4 L V-8 and loved it, but needed something a little cheaper and more fuel efficient, so we will see how this one plays out.

It looks like K&N and Volant makes omething that might work, but I want to be sure and see if anyone has installed somehting similar before I order over the internet. I have been to a few local stores and they both have said they don't carry anything for the 2007 4.6 L V-8.

Any info and advice would be appreciative.

Oh, and I personally did not find/see anything that K&N makes for the 4.6L but did find one from Volant but from researching around I've heard mixed reviews in regards to their products. Just my two cents tho.

K&N doesn't make an intake for the 4.6 v8. I asked them while I was on the phone with them a few months back. I had a question about the 5.4 and figured I would ask.

Check out S&B. I have one on my 05 4.6L and love it. Sounds good with the Magnaflow 14" si/do muffler.

I was looking at that one along with the volant intake. Did you notice any difference in power or gas mileage?

Throttle responce is better. Picked up maybe 1 mpg, not sure about how much power was gained but the truck seems quicker.

i have the air raid kit, but on the 07 ford changed the brake lines so the box doesnt fit. so if u buy that kit u have to call air raid up and they will send you out the box that is supposed to fit in your truck. but they have still yet to get me a box that fits. but hey, everytime they send me a new box i get all kinds of good stuff. like a filter cleaning kit, filter sock, hat, new filter, etc...

my local performance parts guy who is tight with the guys from K&N was telling me something about that. he said that k&n only releases a product if it will increase the power by a noticeable amount. so maybe they are still working on it? who knows.. when the new hummers came out you couldent buy a K&N intake because they could not make it any better. but now theirs a few out......
