really...you really dont know why he was flamed?

ok, first off....

he asked to do a swap that will never exist.

second he asked to destroy a cobra r, prob one of the top tier ford cars ever made.

3rd, he has ZERO idea what hes even talking about

4th, its his first post and hes acting like he is going to build this huge insane beast when in reality he has zero idea what the hell hes even talking about.

you can get a t-56 to mount just the same as a t5 on a mustang, and since both 4.6 motors will accept the manual bellhousing, then id assume yes, the mounting of it on the f150 may be odd and the shifter would need working but its possible....

next time when you join a forum introduce yourself first, and do some research before asking questions....a min or 2 on wikipedia would of saved you all the internet tears your spilling....

i would like to apologize for the first impression this site gave you, i feel that they were a little harsh on you. i think you will find that a lot of the people on here are very helpful and can provide some usefull information for any project you may be doing. if you do build this cobra f150, it would be a sweet project for sure.

old timer here, i want to know how easy it would be to drop a 1971 429 cobra jet in my 07 Lariet. Everything should match up pretty good correct?? You know, that even seemed stupid as i was typing it. Sorry, had to act stupid in a more stupid thread.

ya i dont really know now if this is as much a hateful thread as it is blackbettey is rude and has some wierd view on himself where he thinks he is too good to humble himself to answer a cool question or change the page and read something else, not waste time talking **** and showing how much of a ******* you are.

ANYWAYS - i do own a f150 single cab very basic got it cheap and didnt say anything about tearing up a COBRA R (thats the name retard) i said a COBRA, a much cheaper and easier motor to come by. as for the trans, i am not a guy who cuts and welds and **** but i have a cousin who is a master mechanic and helps me with stuff over my head. this also isnt my first project vehicle (i had a nice 97 civic and a 01 integra) so i think its rather funny you want to judge me on what i do and plan on, not to mention what do you care as to think on it and mention it in a negative way?(mom ever teach you to not say anything at all if it isnt nice)

but this is something i wanted to make happen one day, not this weekend by anymeans i am still wondering how possible it is. but its jerks like blackbetty who make it harder then it has to be. too bad, he should be banned, 1800 mesgs of **** talk i am sure, wonder who else he has pissed off in his time here. i just came on thinking i got a truck, got a few things for it, plan some more and BOOM dick bomb drops (in the form of blackbetty) so sorry for what more timid people would think on a thread like this off the bat!!

BTW i dont want to come off like i want to battle with people online so i am going to stop and just fill you all in on some basics. Hi i'm Ryan. This is what my plan was, thus why i had questions:my f150 was a old service truck (great condt.) and i got it though a client i train, long story short it was a great deal that left me with some money to do some cool stuff when i got it (head lights, tail lights, ground effects) but i keep in the back of my head that i have a lot of miles so i dont want to do anything to the motor really... so what will i replace it with? anything cool out there i thought to myself, maybe a cobra motor, kids wrap those around trees and poles all the time (bless their souls) but i can prob get a motor for a good price, but i wondered "do they fit?" (sorry i didnt wikki first) and then i thought maybe if my old trans goes out lol what maybe i do with that?! 5, 6 speed? always wish a lightning had one, thats what kept me from buying one! but hey "was it even possible?" is the length ok, and to save time thought id go to a ford forum and see if i could find some cool guys with some cool answers, hope that helps make me seem less of a target for bs for you
