Default best route for 2002 5.4

whats the best route to go to charge and build my motor...its got 176k on it with a brand new transmission and im regearing to yukon 4.56s soon and want some more horsies under the hood what do i need to do to tranny and to motor to get it ready for its new baby and whats the best set up for my truck also where can i find a good set of either track bars or 6 inch rear leaf springs..thanks guys yall are all the best

It's cubic horsepower and what are you willing to spend? A set of ported and polished heads with cams gives good power for the buck. If you want more you can change the heads to the newer 3 valve heads for more power. If you add a supercharger you start making a lot of horse power but really need a stouter bottom end to hold that much power. All of it needs to go to forged pieces. Don't forget to do up the trans to keep it together.

It all comes down to how much $$ you have. If you have about 5K sitting around do a Lightning swap. With 4K a centrifugal supercharger. For about 2.5K you could replace the heads and cams. For about $500.00 you could get long tube headers or a tuner.

ya i totally agree and idk if i want to go the supercharger route because not the money but havent really been impressed with the amount of added power frind did about 20k work to his motor well his dad did but hes got all new internals 60 pound injectors procharger new fuel pump dk what type and a bunch of other little stuff but im just not very impressed with it also he has 8 inches and 36x15.50s with 4.56 gears its a 2004 f150 supercrew with the 5.4 3v

wait what you mean>? like i mentioned before im not the motor heaad type i can work on em but you ask me what and specs i say ha ask him.. but i am more of a suspension and bumpers and stero and electrical kinda person id like to know more about motors which is why ima take a mechanics class so what you mean by forged just build the motor up with no chargers?

forged pistons handle heat and high rpms better than stock cast pistons.

ya i c where that would go into effect what do you think about putting some electric fans? also where could i find some if you knwo?

im not so sure electric fans are gonna get you more power?

quick google search found me this when i was looking for one for my ranger a few months back. never went through with it
