97 F150 Engine surge under load
I've been trouble shooting this problem for about three years with no success.
Its a great with only 84,000. the problem always starts after its operating for about 30min. or about 50 to 100 miles. It starts stuttering when I go for more power or starting to go up hills, so I pull over and let it cool down and then everthing is fine until the 30min. or the 50 mile mark and it happens again?
I have no codes coming up.
Please has there been anyone with similar problem that have been fixed?

No, it doesn't shake just surges up and down between 2200 and 3500. and yes, if I back off the throttle to about 2000 RPM its happy until I go for more power.
I've done all the diagnostic (OBDII) trouble shooting, Driveability tests No faults, missfires or Codes.
This problem only happens when its been driven for a about 50+ miles
and wheni turn it off and let it cool down its fine, until about 50 miles?
How come it not acting up right when its started?
Ive changed al most every sensor, filter, solenod.
I just recently changed the
back to Motorcraft after finding the cheap one I put in were rusting. It still happened?
I'm gong to try the
Spark plug wires next since I put in a aftermarket set.

Thanks for the reply Bill,
Its a 4.6L Winsor, Canadian "A", The fuel filter was one of the first things I changed, Fuel Pressure about 38 to 40 PSI (normal)

I drive the little 4.2L and get a big RPM change when the OD goes in and out, just saying that, as it is normal. If you happen to be a manual trans, drop down a gear and see what happens. Another thought, but this cost money, buy a coil pack and replace one side, if still there, put original on the other side.

Its a automatic trans and It still did it in first gear, and I also put New Motorcraft coils in.
I'm going to try the Spark plug wires next, they are Aftermarket and might not have the right resistance, Motorcraft set comes in today hopefully that fixes it.
And I won't know if it fixes it until the 50 mile test drive.....Wish me lucky
