I bought a remanufactured 5.4L engine through advance autoparts. One head has cast on it 4.6L - is this correct?! is the head casting universal or something? I can only see the exhaust side of the head casting as the engine is installed, but on the drives side it says 4.6l, on the passenger side it says 5.4l!

Humm... wonder what year heads you got..the re-designed 5.4L heads started appearing in late 07

Not 100% but I know when looking up cams, and coils anything 3v works with its sister engine. 4.6 and 5.4 3v at least share the same aftermarket cams?
