5.4 sometimes ticks at idle? why?

I am not saying that this is not the concern,but when the injectors go bad they usually stick open and hydrolock the engine.Actually seen one yesterday.It was #7 injector and it locked the engine up and damaged the starter.This is a concern for the 04/05 trucks.We have replaced engines for this.

Dealership replaced the phasers but was still making ticking noise as soon as i made it home. Warranty cost was 932.00..not sure what to do now?
