4R70W Jmod + valve body rebuild
This works for all 2001 and newer valve bodies.
Assemble the valve body with the stock regulator valve pressure spring, new valves from Sonnax and a new "Tuff" plate (separator plate) from Superior.
Drill the new separator plate like this:
hole 1 = .161"
hole 2 = .1015"
hole 3 = .180"
hole 4&5 = .113"
hole 6 = .161"
hole 7 = .089
hole 8 = not used in this application
hole 9&11 = .125"
hole 10 = .089"
Reassembled with new gaskets and torque the separator plate bolts to 100 in lbs, torque the transmission bolts to 130 in lbs

Where are you located? Wish I knew someone close to me that I could trust rebuilding a transmission and would be willing to do mods like this. I think I could tackle this if I had to.
On my 05 F150 4x4 SCrew, I had a problem at city speeds where if I got off the gas and coasted for a hundred feet or so, and then quickly got back on the gas (such as when preparing to brake for a red light that then turns green) the drivetrain would bang loudly as the engine applied power again. The problem is, there are so many components where slack could be introduced. The truck has 104K miles. I just replaced the driveshaft, which had a worn front u joint and sticking input yoke. Also had the rear axle completely rebuilt and the differential replaced with a TrueTrac. Haven't experienced the bang again but haven't really been in that situation again either. Hoping it's not the transmission or transfer case.
