4.9 5 SPD Will not shift after shifter removal
I am new to the Forum and I did search first. I am sure this has been covered before but I couldn't find it.
I have a 1993 F150 with a 4.9 and 5 speed. I went to fill the transmission tonight and I filled it like I fill my Mustang. I took the shifter out to fill it and now I can not get it to shift after I reinstalled the shifter. I took the shifter out in 2nd gear if that matters. I have tried to finagle it back in but accomplished nothing. I can get the shifter bolted back in but it will not grab a gear. What am I doing wrong or not doing sorta right? Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone know what "sounds like you stacked the gears" means? The guys at work kept saying that with no explanation. I am a northern guy in a southern region. I don't understand a lot of what is said down here.
